A pair of cymbals with the central part gently pushed out in a half hemispherical shape. Two half hemispheres make one set. A cord is passed through a hole in the center. Used to indicate rhythmic cycles of the accompaniment for dance music. A clear, long-sounding tone is characteristic of this instrument.
